Museum Store Layout and Design Services
Since 1992 we have assisted with the layout and design of museum stores throughout the United States and Canada. For new stores our work includes determining required space and best location; preparing layouts taking into consideration product adjacencies, most advantageous location for the checkout counter and foot-traffic patterns, and then helping to design or choose fixtures for general and specialized merchandising needs. We also assist with establishing criterion for lighting, flooring, electrical and connectivity needs. Very often, as part of the first step of this process, the design team goes through the very detailed Museum Store Function, Layout and Design Checklist we have developed to make certain every significant aspect of store design has been considered.
